Who publishes this site

Thames Web Crafters is not a company, a charity or a registered association. This website is published on a non-professional basis by the volunteer organisers of the group, who take turns keeping it up to date. As allowed by Article 6 III 2° of French law no. 2004-575 of 21 June 2004 on confidence in the digital economy (LCEN), the organisers have chosen to keep their names and contact details private. Their identity has been provided to the host named below, which holds it and will disclose it only to the authorities, on a lawful request.

What this site does and does not do

There are no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels and no forms on any page. Nothing you do here is recorded by us, and there is nothing to accept or refuse.

The one thing worth knowing about is the typefaces. The pages load two fonts from Google Fonts, which means that when your browser fetches them it sends your IP address to Google, in the same way it does for any file it downloads. If you would rather it did not, block that domain in your browser; the fallback fonts on your machine will do the job perfectly well.

Content and speakers

Talk titles and the short summaries on the past sessions page are written by the organisers with the agreement of each speaker. Speakers are named by first name or handle unless they have asked for more. Any speaker can ask for their entry to be changed or taken down, and we will do so without argument.

Where a speaker's own website is linked, what is on that site is theirs. We do not check it and are not responsible for it.

The text and stylesheet of this site may be reused for non-commercial purposes provided you say where they came from.
